S.T.E.A.M.
Every Thursday 6th graders participate in a 2-hour learning block devoted to complex problem solving known as S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). S.T.E.A.M. is based on the engineering design process - students will ask questions, imagine possible solutions, plan and create a specific solution, then reflect and improve on their design.
Here are some great Examples of the E-Textiles students created by combining the art of sewing and science of circuitry.
For more information about our lessons please check out our HPES STEAM website at http://hpessteam.weebly.com/.
